The Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" is a service offered to medical societies and their members for data submission to the doctors' own data collection. Independent practitioners can centrally submit their data to a data collection point set up at NewIndex AG.

2. How does participation in the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" work?

The medical society concludes a framework agreement with NewIndex AG for data collection, which interested members can join through a subsequent agreement.

3. How does data submission to the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" work?

This form of data submission means that the doctor provides the data from the practice software or through third parties (e.g., Doctors? cashier) and delivers it in XML format to a central data collection point. This data is anonymized before leaving the practice and regularly flow into the doctors' own data collection.

4. What is the difference between a TrustCenter and the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect"?

The Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" is a basic service for data submission. The services of a TrustCenter are not available.

5. What services does a participating doctor receive from the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect"?

With the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect", data can be submitted to the doctors' own data collection and thus be available to the doctors' own medical society and for national professional policy. Data submission via the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" can fulfill any potential data delivery obligation of the medical society. The scope of services includes the delivery of the Management Summary (a report of the most important practice key figures based on the delivered data, including comparison collective). Data-submitting doctors have the option to order specific evaluations of their data and comparisons with tailor-made comparison groups from NewIndex (e.g., for WZW procedures, price according to effort).

6. How much does the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" cost?

The fee for central data submission is set by your cantonal medical society.

7. Why do I need to fill out declaration of accession?

As the data owner, by filling out the declaration of accession, you agree that your data will be available for statistical evaluations to support the political concerns of the medical profession while maintaining data protection. Without your consent, we are not allowed to further process your data.

8. Do I need to fill out the declaration of accession every year?

No, you only need to fill out the declaration of accession the first time.

9. What happens after I send the completed and signed declaration of accession to NewIndex AG?

You will receive a confirmation email from NewIndex AG. This completes the data submission for you.

10. How is data protection ensured?

The data in the data pool of Swiss doctors includes the services billed in the connected practices. Due to the high sensitivity of these data, NewIndex is subject to comprehensive and strict guidelines to ensure data protection and protect the interests of the medical profession.

11. Who is allowed to use the data from the doctors' own data collection?

The main users of the data from the doctors' own data collection are the FMH, the cantonal medical societies, and the specialist societies, as well as the data suppliers, who can, for example, be supported by the data collection in the MAS data-gathering of the BFS, receive data-based practice consultations from TrustCenters, or receive data-based support in WZW procedures. The use of data from the doctors' own data collection is subject to data protection regulations and is regulated in the NewIndex Data Usage Regulations (DNR NI), which defines access to and use of the data by associations and third parties.

12. How can I upload my billing data?

The data submission process is documented step by step in the user manual. The upload to the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" can be done manually, as a zip file, or as a link to a directory. The upload can also be done by third parties on behalf of the doctor (e.g., Doctors? cashier).

13. I do my billing through a service provider (Doctors? cashier, Swisscom health AG, etc.). How do I get my data?

Most providers support data submission to the Central Data Collection Point "niucollect" and can be commissioned to deliver your data. Depending on the provider, certain processing fees may apply.

14. I already deliver my data through a TrustCenter. Do I still need to send the data to the data collection point?

No, if you are connected to a TrustCenter, you already support the doctors' own data collection and do not need to take any further action.

15. Which file formats are allowed for uploading invoices?

Only the XML V 4.3, V 4.4, or V 4.5 formats are allowed and should be used.

16. Where can I find my XML invoices?

The extraction of data (XML invoices) from the practice software is the responsibility of the doctor and depends on the manufacturer, the product used, and the version of the practice software. If you have any questions, please contact your practice software manufacturer.

17. My provider charges license and maintenance fees for exporting my billing data in XML format. Is the provider allowed to do this?

The pricing is a decision of the practice software manufacturer. If you have any questions about possible license and maintenance fees, please contact your practice software manufacturer.

18. What should I do if the login button does not work during (initial) registration?

Please use the Enter key instead.

19. What should I do if I have uploaded the invoices twice?

Please delete the second delivery that you uploaded twice. Note: If the first delivery is deleted, you will no longer have any invoices in the system.

20. How do I know that my invoices have been uploaded?

After uploading your invoices, you will see the status of each delivered XML invoice on the upload page, and you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

21. What should I do if I have not received a confirmation email after uploading the invoices?

If you have not received a confirmation email within 24 hours, please send an email to support@newindex.ch (please also check your spam folder).
